How to Survive RLCraft - Step by Step Beginners Guide
This guide is all about combat/survival related tips and items for beginners
I haven't listed commodity items like the atlas
Temperature, at least in the early game isn't something you can "survive" if you spawned in a too hot or cold environment, you're better off spawning elsewhere or it'll affect your progression speed tremendously.
A quest book is soon to be added in RLCraft 2.9, I don't know how good it'll be, but in the meantime, I've made this as "some form of quest book" of my own, that I hope you'll also find useful.
It focuses only on the early game since that's where most people struggle, but also because I'll be starting a Hardcore Series soon enough and I'll probably be repeating these very same steps myself, most likely multiple times.
The step by step guide ends once you've expanded out of your very first flint tools, the rest is about all the items you should build as soon as possible and a couple of suggestions on how to get the needed materials for them

RLCraft is a Minecraft Modpack consisting of approximately 120 separate mods that have been bundled and tweaked by Shivaxi to create a challenging Minecraft fantasy world. The modpack is currently at version 2.8.2 and runs on Minecraft version 1.12.2.
While trying to survive this world you will discover dragons, castles, dungeons, skill systems, new crafting systems and if that wasn’t enough most of the mechanics of traditional Minecraft have been modified.
The modpack is specially designed to bring an incredibly hardcore and semi-realism challenge revolving around adventure and survival.

If you already spawned next to gravel skip to 5》
If you spawned in a village skip to 13》
1》grab rocks (4)
2》get a stick
3》craft stone dagger
4》search for flint with some safety -- along the way grab another 12 rocks and 2 sticks
5》you only need 1 flint
If you find a chicken -- Palpatine: "do it"
6》smash the flint against a rock and get 2 flint shards
7》craft flint knife
8》get plant fiber (3)
9》make plant string
10》craft flint hatchet
11》chop tree
12》chop logs (later on just craft a saw and you can automatically convert logs into planks or sticks)
13》make/find a crafting table
14》craft a stone pickaxe
》 make plant string (or just use string if you have it)
》 craft handle
》 craft saber (or rapier)
》 craft a wooden shield
》 upgrade the shield to cobblestone
》 if you have arrows also craft a bow but you'll probably get an enchanted one sooner or later from skeletons
》 find/build torches
》 find/build a bed/sleeping bag
》 reach lvl.5 (hunt mobs or mine coal)
》 "L" open advancements (pick your preference)
》 "Y" open skilltree and go for mining 4
If you're confident in yourself
FAST PROGRESSION SPEED
》 attack a battletower and find:
- a bezoar
- crystal shards
- compass (for atlas)
- armor
- baubles
If you want to proceed at a
NORMAL PROGRESSION SPEED
》 mine iron either 3, 6, or 13 of it (obviously if you get more it's even better)
》 craft an iron saber
》 craft a bucket -- fill it with water
》 open the skill-tree again and go for building 6
》 craft a basic forge
》 craft a paxel

》 summoning staff (magic 8)
》 backpack

》 piercing arrow
》 frost arrow

》 tame Roc
