Turkish Rice Pudding Recipe called Sütlaç that you will LOVE || Easy Baked Rice Pudding Sutlac!
In today's video, we show you how to make Sütlaç, which is a Turkish baked rice pudding. Sütlaç is a rich and creamy rice pudding with a caramelised top. It is a really delicious dessert that is popular in Turkey and found in almost all Turkish restaurants. Sutlac is incredibly delicious especially when served chilled.
To make the Sütlaç recipe, you will need:
1/3 cup rice (starchy rice varieties work best but you can use any type)
1 cup water (or enough to cook the rice in)
1 litre (plus up to 2 cups extra) of milk
1/2 cup sugar (or more if you like it sweeter)
1 sachet vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
1 tbs corn starch (cornflour in the UK) + 1/4 cup milk
Bake the Sütlaç using the top oven grill until a caramelised (and almost burnt) top is formed. Then allow the sutlac to cool and chill in the fridge before serving.
