In this video I share my personal experience of working in a pharmaceutical company as a Data Scientist. People often wonder if there are any opportunities for data science in life sciences / health sectors / pharma / biotech. Before that, I had a job in a big tech company, and was quite skeptical about the idea of building my data scientist career somewhere in Pharma. There is no surprise about that as many people stigmatize pharma and think about pharmaceutical business as a machine that has only one purpose: to gain more and more money by selling more and more drugs. However, when I got the chance to know more and even work in one of those “soulless monsters” I completely changed my opinion about big pharma. So, this video tells you everything I learned from this experience.
I am Anna, a data scientist with over 15 years of experience in data science and machine learning. I worked for different companies (ex-Booking, ex-Heineken) and currently work as a director of data science in one of the largest pharmaceutical companies.
I've seen hundreds of candidates, interviewed many of them, seen thousands of CVs, and will share with you all my tips and tricks, so you can become a successful data scientist and land the job of your dream.
