Dead Bodies Along the Ganges River in India! 🇮🇳

Manikarnika Ghat, situated in Varanasi, India's holiest city, bears witness to a daily influx of the dying. These individuals, mainly Hindus, converge upon Varanasi, often referred to as the "City of Death," with a profound hope that their demise and cremation in this sacred place will facilitate their liberation from the Hindu rebirth cycle, granting them salvation. Remarkably, approximately 100 people receive their final rites and cremation throughout the city each day.

During my time in Varanasi, I had the rare privilege of gaining an exclusive and intimate look into the process of death—a deeply sacred and spiritual ritual that very few tourists get to witness or film. This unique experience allowed me to gain a profound understanding of the cultural and religious significance attached to the age-old tradition that unfolds at the Manikarnika Ghat.
