Rajma masala is popular north Indian delicacy. Rajma masala is made from kidney beans and it tastes just awesome specially with rice. Many people love rajma chaval. We already have seen rajma masala recipe. But today we will see perfect recipe for making masala for it with many tips and tricks. Rajma chaval can be a one dish meal after a long tiring day. Ingredient:
• 1 cup Rajma / Kidney beans
• 2 1/2 cup Water
• 1 Cinnamon stick
• Black cardamom
• 2~3 Bay leaves
• 4~5 Cloves
• 4~5 Black peppercorns
• 3 tsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• Finely chopped Onion
• 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
• 1 cup Tomato puree
• 1 tsp Coriander powder
• 1 tsp Garam masala
• 1 1/2 tsp red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp Sugar (Optional)
• Salt to taste
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Method:
• Wash rajma 3-4 times well with water and soak it in enough water for at least 7-8 hours or
 overnight.
• Transfer the soaked rajma into pressure cooker and add water, cinnamon, black cardamom bay
 leaves, cloves, black cardamom.
• Adding whole spices is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• You can tie these whole spices in a clean cloth and drop that packet into rajma while cooking.
• Pressure cook the rajma on medium to heat for about 7-8 whistles.
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
• Add onion and fry on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes until it turns golden brown.
• Add ginger-garlic paste and mix well.
• Add tomato puree and cook for another 7-8 minutes oil is released from the masala.
• Add coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, sugar and fry everything well together
 for about 2-3 minutes.
• Adding sugar is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• Remove the whole spices from the cooked rajma and add it into the fried masala.
• You can keep the whole spices as it is if you want.
• Add water to adjust the consistency, salt and mix well.
• Simmer in medium heat for about 6-7 minutes.
• Add coriander leaves and mix well.
• Turn off the gas and rajma masala is all ready.
• You can have rajma masala with rice or with paratha, naan too.
